Curriculum Endorsements & Certifications

In addition to offering certifications through IMRTC USA, educational and professional training institutions seeking international recognition for their own curricula and certifications may apply for endorsement by the IMRTC Curricula Committee.

To initiate the endorsement process, institutions must submit a comprehensive program design that includes the following:

Title Page containing:

  • Name of the institution
  • Program title and certification level
  • Date of submission
  • Catalog URL (if available)
  • Applicable regulation number (if the program is governed by specific regulations)

All submissions will be reviewed by the IMRTC Curricula Committee to assess alignment with international standards and quality benchmarks. Upon approval, endorsed programs will receive formal recognition and may utilize the IMRTC endorsement mark in their official materials.

Executive Summary

The Executive Summary must be limited to one page and should concisely present the following key elements of the program:

  • Theme of the Program: A clear statement outlining the central focus or purpose of the program.
  • Brief Description of Admission and Exit Requirements: An overview of the eligibility criteria for entry into the program and the conditions or qualifications required for successful completion.
  • Unique Features of the Program: Highlight any distinguishing elements, such as innovative content, industry partnerships, practical components, or notable faculty involvement.
  • Mode(s) of Delivery: Specify how the program will be delivered—whether through in-person classes, online learning, hybrid formats, or other methods.
  • Rationale for Implementation: Explain the need or demand for the program, identifying target audiences, labor market relevance, or alignment with institutional or national goals.

Conceptual Framework

This section should provide a concise explanation—limited to one or two paragraphs—that clearly demonstrates the alignment between the proposed program and current market needs. It should articulate:

  • The underlying principles or educational philosophy guiding the development of the program.
  • How the program addresses specific industry demands, skill gaps, or professional trends.
  • The value proposition for learners and stakeholders, including potential impact on employability, innovation, or sector growth.

Continuous Assessment Plan & Required Program Experience Components

  • Explain how each component contributes to the overall development of learners in line with program objectives.

2. Standards and Alignment

  • Describe the standards (local, national, or international) that guide curriculum design and delivery.
  • Demonstrate how these standards are systematically integrated into courses, teaching methodologies, and learning outcomes.
  • Explain the assessment mechanisms used to measure adherence to these standards throughout the duration of the program.

3. Trainer/Teacher Preparation

  • Describe how faculty, trainers, and instructors are prepared to understand, implement, and assess the defined standards within their teaching practices.

Note: A Faculty Matrix must also be submitted online. This matrix should present the information above in a clear tabular format. (Development of this online matrix tool is pending.)
